Tall Grass + Park Forest Recreation Class Series

This class series is offered in partnership with Tall Grass Arts Association and Park Forest Recreation.

Elements of Art, Comic/Drawing, and Young Artists are now offered as focused 6-week series, allowing students to build skills from week to week. Classes are registered and paid for as a complete series rather than individually.

Portrait Painting (Ages 18+)

Tuition: $60

Explore the art of portrait painting while building skills in realism using acrylic paint and the alla prima technique. Students will learn basic composition, how to mix and paint realistic skin tones, and techniques for assessing proportion and accuracy in their work.

Build confidence and creativity through Dynamic Drawing! Students will explore fun techniques for drawing people, animals, and action-filled scenes while learning about shape, movement, and detail. Each class encourages imagination, skill-building, and the joy of bringing drawings to life.

Young Artists (Ages 7–18)

Young artists will explore a variety of creative mediums through fun, hands-on projects designed to encourage imagination and artistic confidence. Throughout the session, students will experiment with drawing, painting, mixed media, and sculpture while learning new techniques and developing their own creative style.
