THE MIND'S EYE

Works by Mary Carnahan, Angie McMonigal, Janice Meister,

Eve Ozer, Margie Glass Sula

March 30 – May 4, 2024

In its upcoming new exhibit, THE MIND’S EYE, Tall Grass Arts Association will present the works of five artists recognized for their ongoing creation of strong, abstract pieces.

This artists in this group – Mary Carnahan, Angie McMonigal, Janice Meister, Eve Ozer, and Margie Glass Sula – share a collective resume of years of serious commitment to their art, with numerous exhibits in regional, national, and international galleries and museums; extensive lists of high honors and awards earned; and inclusion in many private and corporate collections. Tall Grass is extremely honored to be able to present the works of these most impressive artists in our gallery.

THE MIND’S EYE will include drawings, acrylic and oil paintings, photographs, and mixed media pieces. The artists’ works move beyond the literal to the essential, the personal, the internalized, and the invented.

With a mix of styles and images, and inspiration found in natural as well as designed subjects, the exhibit will fill the gallery with bold color, subtle textures, and complex references to organic and architectural forms transformed through focusing on composition, media, and each artist’s unique visual language.

Curators Claudia Craemer and Debbie Craemer invite everyone to meet the artists and view this powerful collection of approaches to contemporary abstraction at the Artists’ Reception on Saturday, March 30, 1-3pm.

The exhibit will be on view from March 30 until May 4, 2024, in the Tall Grass Gallery.
