Tall Grass Arts Association is a totally volunteer-run arts association.  Other than a few hours of paid office staff and teachers in the art school, volunteers manage the gallery exhibits, art fair, Beaux Arts Ball and all other Tall Grass programs and projects.  Perhaps most important, volunteers staff the gallery.

Staffing the gallery is a lovely job.  Imagine working in an environment filled with outstanding art.  Imagine having the opportunity to interact with professional artists and visitors who love art.

Volunteers welcome visitors to the gallery.  They answer the telephone and sell items out of the gift shop. Gallery volunteers help with mailings. Volunteers participate in a special events and are sometimes trained to serve as docents for a particular exhibit, particularly for visiting classes.

Most gallery sitters volunteer for 2 1/2 hours per month.  Some volunteers prefer to volunteer on the same day of the week, every week.

Becoming a gallery sitter requires some training.  Cody Ziebell is the volunteer coordinator.  If you are interested in volunteering, call the gallery at (708) 748-3377.

Without volunteers, the doors to the Tall Grass Gallery would not remain open.  Help Tall Grass remain a free art gallery, open to the public.  Please call today and volunteer.
